I'm a jogger now

Flo Jo

Just wanted to share with you all how proud I am of myself!!!After talking about it for the last month, I finally got my butt up yesterday morning and went jogging. I've never been a fan of jogging because I always thought it was boring, but I have to say that I actually enjoyed my little run yesterday. One big difference between NY and LA is that in LA you spend a good amount of time on your butt..whether it's driving or in an office...and that butt of yours will expand quickly if you don't watch out!!
As opposed to NY which is a pedestrian city, LA is a city where you get in a car to go everywhere. You really won't burn any fat, or stay toned unless you go out of your way and join a gym or make a point of engaging in some kind of physical activity. Either that, or you'll end up turning into one big blob...and we can't have that. I'm trying to get this figure RIGHT!! However, the dilemma that I was having was figuring out when the workout was supposed to take place. Your girl here is NOT a morning person, and evenings end up being spent making work related stops here and there, or going to events, so that kills that. So I'm thinking the best for me to do is to run in this park that's down the block. I do still plan on going in the mornings, but at least it doesn't require me getting into a car to go somewhere and making myself look presentable to be around people. Like I said, not a morning person..so everything I just listed, would require A LOT of effort for me to make happen! So this is the plan...let's see if ya girl here can conistently go running at least 3 days a week. It's on folks! I'm trying to give Christina Millian a run for her money...you think this is at all possible?? um...I'll try. Shout to Christina Millian. She is killing them in the game right now!
And so Will I. Bye Bye jiggly thighs!!!

Fierceness....

Will Smith- Questionable clip?

So as we all know Will Smith is in the movie Hancock that came out today (or was it yesterday?) and in honor of the movie, Moviefone did a cute lil Q&A w/ Will, Charlize Theron & Jason Bateman. The first 2 clips I watched were pretty entertaining but something about this one made me question Sir Smith. Dont get me wrong, I think he's great. Check this out towards 00:45. Look @ how Willie boy looks at the other willie. Thoughts?????

Kanyeezy + Absolut = COMEDY

I may be late BUT this is hilarious...

Lioness on the Court Report: The Williams Sisters will face eachother at the Wimbeldon at the Grand Slam!!

Serena and Venus beat out their competition and will now face eachother!! Wow!! Can't wait to watch this!

on another note, glad they kept it focused on tennis and didn't try to show their "fashion sense" on the court....sometimes it's not always the beeest look

New Music: T.I. "Swing Your Rag" feat Swizz Beats....the "King's" Crown is lookin a little lopsided to me with this one...but you be the judge!!

Swing Your Rag - TI

new on the scene

soooooo the other day I was looking through piles and piles of fashion magazines from around the globe...and one particular magazine caught my eye...

the April 2008 issue of Vogue India was sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!

Laksmhi Menon, a newcomer to the fashion world, graced the cover and in the words of Christian (Project Runway)that girl was fierceeeeee!! I absolutely love and commend the the editors at Vogue India for using a BROWN skinned girl. I mean seriously this girl cannot be played with. She has crazy bone structure and has an incredible complexion. Anyways...apparently Vogue India is a relatively new project and it's issues up to this point have not been particularly appealing but hopefully with this cover they will continue moving in the right direction. I loveddddddd loved loved the issues editorials...they reflected the rich and colorful culture of India while featuring the latest fashions from our favorite designers. Lakshmi's, photographer Prabuddhas Das Gupta's work was phenomenal.

McQueen

hey everybody its Mizz Luna new to LICJ
here to add a little culture and fashion to your slow-paced lives ::just kidding=)::
anyways..okay first post

so lately I've had a serious obsession with Alexander McQueen. His shows are absolutely breathtaking. He is able to take historical ideas, such as the English monarchy and England's colonziation of India and incorporate them into to his incredible collections. His ability to mold fabrics into unique silhouettes is something I really appreciate knowing how difficult it is to make fabrics cooperate and do it in such a precise way at that. His latest collection truly was a testament to his aesthetic genius. His fall 2008 RTR was strongly influenced by his recent trip to India. Although it began with black fabrics ranging from leather to tulle and perfectly tailored suits, it soon led to deep toned velvets and muted crinoline. Honestly, this collection could not have displayed his talents any better. While showing his exquisite execution in tailoring, it also demonstrated his extraordinary talents in design and creativity.

EXCLUSIVE NEEWWWW MUSIC!!! Michael Jackson feat Akon "Hold My Hand"!!!!

Jay-Z Glastonbury 2008- What was that Oasis?

I watched the video that was posted by my fellow Lioness... And for real, the best way to combat haters is by doing what Jay-z did @ Glastonbury... smack em in the face without touching them! The members of Oasis were prob in the back mad as hell. He rocked in front of 100,000 people... now thats a ROCKSTAR!

In case you don't know what caused all the commotion for Jay to even go about doing this... here's what Noel Gallagher said:

Oasis' Noel Gallagher has said that he thinks the decision to book Jay-Z for a headline set at this year's Glastonbury festival was incorrect.

Speaking to BBC News, Gallagher said that deviating from the festival's tradition of booking guitar-based headliners was "wrong".

"If it ain't broke don't fix it," he said. "If you start to break it then people aren't going to go. I'm sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance.

"Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music and even when they throw the odd curve ball in on a Sunday night you go 'Kylie Minogue?' I don't know about it. But I'm not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It's wrong."
